Letters, Lives and Liberty

Postal Museum, GPO, Dublin

The postal service is one of the most important and long- standing institutions in the country. An Post required an exhibition that would stimulate an appreciation of the design and production of stamps, the development of postal services in Ireland and the history surrounding the GPO building.

Letters, Lives and Liberty is divided into three zones: Art of the Stamp, The Post in Ireland and Easter Monday 1916. Vibrant green accents echo Ireland’s and An Post’s identity. Gray walls let the objects stand out. Stamp and postal elements, such as mailbag tags, perforations and labels, were incorporated into the design. I was responsible for the development of the style guide, garphic production and installation.
